Dr. Hampton is a proud Louisiana native, originally from Alexandria, Louisiana. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, then relocated to Alexandria, Virginia, where she began her career at a feline-only hospital. Over the past six years, she has focused exclusively on feline medicine, developing a deep passion for cats, their unique medical needs, and the particular challenges they can present in a clinical setting.

Her dedication to advancing feline care led to the publication of her research on Feline-Specific Music in the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery. She is currently pursuing board certification in Feline Medicine and Surgery.

In addition to her expertise in feline health, Dr. Hampton has a strong interest in Integrative Medicine. She incorporates acupuncture, herbal therapy, and tui-na (Chinese therapeutic massage) into her treatment plans for both cats and dogs, supporting patients with chronic conditions, arthritis, and more. Her approach is deeply individualized, combining conventional and holistic methods to ensure comprehensive, compassionate care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Hampton enjoys singing, playing guitar, crocheting, and spending time outdoors. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her four beloved cats: Hiro, Mohender, Soleil, and Whiskeyjack.
